The Legacy of GEM

Nestled in the historic village of Gilbertsville, the GEM Sculpture Park is a 14-acre outdoor gallery that celebrates the unique charm and artistic spirit of the Butternuts Valley. Founded by entrepreneur and art collector Barry L. Skolnick, our park features a diverse range of sculptures created by talented artists, providing a serene and inspiring environment for locals and visitors alike.

Barry's vision and generosity, have been instrumental in creating this space. His commitment to fostering artistic excellence and engaging the community has transformed the former Gilbertsville Central School campus into a vibrant center for the arts.

Wander through our beautifully landscaped grounds and discover the unique works that make our park a gem in the Butternut Valley. Barry's dedication ensures that GEM continues to be a place where creativity flourishes and the community thrives.
